Heatherlands School
OVAID is very aware that education is a vital component of conservation and recently interacted with year 10 pupils at Heatherlands Primary School in Poole, Dorset. The pupils were undertaking a project on orangutan and deforestation and were incredibly enthusiastic.
A zoom meeting with OVAID co-founders Sara and Nigel was used to provide information on the work that we do to help orangutan and stimulated dozens of questions.
The culmination of the pupils project was to produce essays, some of which we feature here.
We were amazed by the passion and commitment of the pupils. Great work all of you, and a big thank you to their year teacher Mrs Michelle Underwood.
